Dove Cottage – Wordsworth’s Home
Wordsworth lived here from 1799 to 1809 and described this Garden-Orchard as ‘the loveliest spot man hath ever found’ in his poem, A Farewell. The cottage and gardens on the edge of Grasmere are how Wordsworth left them and the surrounding areas are home to some of the most beautiful sights in the Lake District.
